![]() ![]() The sort of book that you know is going to be a tear-jerker from the moment you start it, For One More Day tells the tale of Charley ‘Chick’ Benetto, whose life is in ruins. ![]() Suffice it to say it’s been well over a decade since I last read anything of Albom’s, and so when my friend David Wade bought a copy of For One More Day from beautiful Bouquiniste Book Café while en route back from my birthday getaway in nearby Broughton Vale, I soon after borrowed it. I have a better recollection of Tuesdays with Morrie – I book whose movie adaptation I enjoyed almost as much as the novel that inspired it. My recollection of it is hazy I think I read it back when I was a teenager, and I have a vague memory of either my step-dad or step-brother recommending it to me, though I could be making that up completely. The first book I read of Mitch Albom’s was The Five People You Meet in Heaven. ![]()
